Diving in Pattaya….. GREAT GREAT !!!!
Today was such a beautiful day, and for so many different reasons. We had two beautiful dives on the far islands, North Rock first, and Koh Rinn Second, and ended our amazing day with a lovely stop on the HTMS Mathapon, for a fun Wreck dive.
Every day is a great day. We meet new people, and constantly welcome new people into the Jomtien Dive Center family. Every day we also get our family returning for more exciting dives in the Pattaya area, and every day we go out to share our passion with our divers.
Today we mixed it up a little. We not only shared our passion for diving, but also for conservation. Today Nga, Minh and Yin joined Jeshe on a mission. Cleaning up some ghost netting.
For the past weeks, due to our boat being in dry-dock, we have been taunted by the fact that a huge net had been dumped over one of our most beautiful dive sites. Upon finding it, Gary managed to cut free a young Sea Turtle, and a Bamboo Shark, both very lucky to be alive. Today, we managed to bring a large part of that net up, with the help of some of our fantastic regular divers.
So thank you to you three for your assistance, and thank you for helping us make our reef safer again. For both divers and our marine friends.
With tons of zip ties, to tie everything tightly, and a lot of team work we managed to Rescue half a dozen crabs, still alive, some sadly missing a few limbs due to their struggles, various fish, and we managed to bring up a net weighing approximately 18kgs, albeit in pieces.
